Nicholas Galitzine, known for his role in The Idea of You, shared his thoughts in response to fans who envisioned pop star Harry Styles in the lead role.
The 29-year-old actor stars opposite Anne Hathaway, 41, in the recently debuted Amazon Prime romance film.
Based on Robinne Lee's 2017 novel, the movie brings to life the story of a young singer named Hayes, who captivates the interest of a mature single mother, Solène, portrayed by Hathaway.
At the movie premiere event, Galitzine candidly discussed the frequent comparisons between himself and Styles. This buzz intensified notably after the former One Direction member's romantic involvement with the 40-year-old actress Olivia Wilde.
Access Hollywood asked the actor, "A lot of the fans of the book imagined Harry Styles when they read the book, so did you draw any inspo from Harry?"
Galitzine answered, "I think the script was so wonderful, and really, there wasn't any need for any other sort of outside references," the actor explained.
"It seems to all be there in the script."
During their collaboration, the actor reflected on his experience working alongside director Michael Showalter. He fondly recalled how Showalter entrusted the cast with significant creative control, allowing them to add depth to the project through their performances.
"It really just kind of came very organically to me," Galitzine went on to say.
Fans have been eagerly enchanted by both celebrities in their passionate latest movie, with several individuals having recently remarked on a dance sequence featuring Galitzine.
Before its release, a sneak peek of The Idea of You surfaced on social media platform X. It featured the actor playfully sliding down the wall with a silly grin as he ran his hands along his body.
Other viewers responded to a fan's comment about the improvised scene and shared various opinions about the humorous moment.

While Styles isn't directly involved, The Idea of You features songwriters from his past projects, adding another layer to the connection.
