New York City experienced an incredible night of music on July 8, 2015 thanks to the talents of Marianas Trench and Ivy Levan. The Canadian pop rockers shared some new tracks and blew the roof off of Irving Plaza for a packed house of loyal fans, old and new, who also fell in love with the night's pop songstress opener. Levan's upcoming album, No Good features a song collaboration with music icon Sting, but we learned this week that she's ready to take over the world all on her own! As the house music died down over a dark room, packs of Levan fans erupt in cheers when the singer walked onto the stage with her backing bassist and DJ.

Levan proved to the Irving Plaza audience that she won't be an opener for too long. The powerful singer's voice commanded the small stage for the near capacity room, creating new fans out and pleasing her loyal followers that made it out. Decked out in a sheer, fishnet top to reveal a sexy black bra, Ivy is clearly not afraid to show off what she's got. Plus, her musical talents back up the display and compliment the performance, which was full of sexy dance moves and audience involvement.

After the smoke cleared from Ivy's incredible opening set, Marianas Trench took the stage with an incredible uproar from the audience. Teasing us with a cool a capella introduction, the band soon rocked us into the night with a set list full of only the catchiest numbers.

Marianas Trench has one of the most unique frontmen in the business (Josh Ramsay), who maintains a great personal dialogue with the audience even when putting on his high energy show with the band. Though the band premiered some new songs for the NYC crowd, a number of concertgoers were still singing along due to the fanaticism you'd find from Marianas Trench's followers.
