Michael Bublé recently announced that he is facing a health scare and would need to cancel his upcoming performances while he undergoes a vocal cord surgery until he has fully recovered.

"To my fans: I wanted to let you know that I am bowing out of some upcoming events due to pending vocal surgery which will require a period of time for me to rest and recover. No talking or singing for awhile, but my doctors expect a complete recovery," the "Haven't Met You Yet" singer wrote on Twitter, NY Daily News reported.

"I am especially sorry about two events that I will now be unable to attend: I was scheduled to be honored at The Canadian Governor General Performance Arts Award Gala on June 11th. This award will now be presented at next year's 25th Anniversary on June 29, 2017. In addition, I will no longer be performing at the Marvin Gaye Tribute at the Kennedy Center on June 5th," he added, according to People.

Whoopi Goldberg will be hosting the Marvin Gaye Tribute with performances from “Empire” star Jussie Smollett, Mary Wilson, Andra Day and Valerie Simpson.

He also thanked his fans for the prayers and good wishes and promised to update them with the progress of his condition. Doctors are expecting the singer to reach full recovery after his scheduled operation.

The shocking news was revealed after 40-year-old Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato, who already have a 2-year-old son Noah, welcomed their second child Elias in January.

Aside from Bublé, other singers who had vocal cord surgery include Adele, Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor.
