Martin Garrix First Three ADE Songs Released Ahead Of Potential Album
Martin Garrix has released the first three of his seven songs this week. He is unveiling all of this new music as honor of the 2016 edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, which officially kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and runs until this Sunday, Oct. 23. These songs come ahead of what could be Garrix's album at the end of these releases.
His second effort is another collaboration, but with vocalist Dawn Golden. It is a more anthemic, festival-sized cut with rumbling sub-bass and soaring synths that match the male vocals. It has the same type of sound that he put out on "Lions In The Wild."
He continues that trend with the new track released today, "Spotless" with one of his close industry friends Jay Hardway. A straight up instrumental, it is a powerful, festival cut with a searing synth melody and pitched vocal chops in the build. It has been one of the more anticipated IDs from his Ultra Music Festival Miami 2016 set.
Garrix announced the initiative to release all seven of these songs on Friday, Oct. 14 and has followed through with his promise.
"Releasing these 7 tracks is my way of saying thank you for the ongoing support from my fans. I can't say it enough," he said at the time in a statement. "I wouldn't be where I am today without you guys! Hope you'll enjoy each and every track that will be up uploaded the coming 7 days"
Each song has been accompanied by a cover art designed by a different visual artist. On YouTube, each song features a time-lapse of the artists creating the cover arts over the duration of the song.
This all leads up to Oct. 21, when he has something big planned, possibly his oft-discussed album. He hasn't shared many more details about the album or these songs, but it would be a smart marketing plan to lead these up to his album. He does have a big ADE show on Oct. 21, which is more the likely the option for Oct. 21.
