Bonnaroo announced several days ago that it would release its 2017 lineup today and the festival has kept on its promise. Without the normal fanfare that they like to put into the lineup announcement, Bonnaroo has unveiled its complete billing with U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd and Chance the Rapper headlining.

Other big names headed to the farm this summer include Major Lazer, Flume, Lorde, The xx, Travis Scott, Cage the Elephant, Umphree's McGee, The Head and the Heart, Marshmello and Glass Animals.

There is plenty of EDM on the bill, with Major Lazer, Flume and Marshmello topping the genre. However there is plenty more with the likes of Yellow Claw, Big Gigantic, NGHTMRE, Ookay, Louis The Child, Illenium and Goldfish all getting in on the fun.

There will be a whole host of hip-hop and R&B acts as well including Kevin Abstract, Chance the Rapper, The Weeknd, BadBadNotGood, Gallant and Tory Lanez.

Other names that keep Bonnaroo to its roots in rock, country and blues include Umphrey's McGee, Royal Blood, Milky Chance, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Car Seat Headrest, James Vincent McMorrow and Portugal. The Man.

Ed Helms & Friends will host a Blue Grass Super Jam. Closer to June, attendees can expect more details on who will host and perform in the various super jams that make Bonnaroo unique.

This is a far cry from Bonnaroo a decade ago that was dominated by jam bands. Their dominance on the festival circuit has come and gone and been replaced by what is popular at the moment.

Bonnaroo will take place from June 8-11 in Manchester, Tennessee. Tickets are on sale now via the festival's website.
