Miley Cyrus will be premiering her new single “Malibu” on Beats 1 tomorrow after several teasers. The last music released by the singer was Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz back in 2015. In 2016 she was featured on Lolawolf’s song “Teardrop,” as well as “We Are Family” by The Flaming Lips.

The radio station tweeted a confirmation that “Malibu” will be premiered exclusively by them, and will then be available on Apple Music.

Cyrus has also been confirmed to perform the song at the Billboard Music Awards next weekend (May 21).

In a recent interview with the publication, Cyrus revealed that she wants to reach people who wouldn’t normally be fans of her music, namely Trump supporters.

“This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don’t give a f*ck, but right now is not a time to not give a f*ck about people,” Cyrus said to Billboard. “I’m giving the world a hug and saying, ‘Hey, look. We’re good - I love you.’ And I hope you can say you love me back.”

“I like the way I think right now,” she further said. “But don’t Trump supporters like the way that they think? So I’ve also got to be open with the way I approach people with my opinions. That’s the only way to make real change. And it’s not because I want to sell records. I know now the ways that don’t work. Because I went really hard during the election.”

“Malibu” also plays to Cyrus’s renewed relationship with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. The two are currently living together in Malibu and share seven dogs, two pigs and two miniature horses. Hemsworth first purchased the home in 2014 after their split, but Cyrus moved in soon after the romance was rekindled. The pop star also reportedly set up her Rainbow Land recording studio there to produce her sixth studio album.
