While performing at Summerburst Festival in Stockholm, Sweden, Bieber informed fans that he wouldn't be performing his latest hit with Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi, "Despacito." He informed fans he couldn't do it because he didn't know the words. He said, "I can't do that specifically. I don't know the words... I can't do it." Luckily, Bieber used his reflexes and dodged the incoming water bottle.

This isn't the first time Bieber has faced some difficulty over this track. "Despacito" is the first mostly-Spanish song to reach #1 in 20 years, as per Spin. He failed to remember the words when performing at 1 Oak in New York City a month ago. Instead of saying the correct words, he ad-libbed the lines, "I don't know the words so I say 'Dorito'" and "I ate a burrito, I just want a burrito."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Fonsi defended Bieber by saying Bieber's part is hard to sing. Fonsi said, "That chorus is not easy to sing even for fluent Spanish singers like myself."

On a positive note, Bieber did perform at the One Love Manchester benefit concert alongside Ariana Grande, Pharrell and Miley Cyrus. Bieber stuck to what he knew and performed "Love Yourself" and "Cold Water." He had an emotional message that he wanted to share with the audience. He stated that there is nothing better than God's glory. He went on to say with tears in his eyes, "No matter what's happening in the world.. he's here for you. I just want to take a moment to honor the people who were lost, who were taken. We love you so much. To the families, we love you so much ... put your hands up to honor them."
