It's MTV Video Music Awards and the show's performers are already lined up and almost complete, making another memorable event for music lovers and avid viewers of the cable channel MTV. Of course, it is not only the song's popularity at stake but the relevance and the attention it gets from the youth, who are most in tune with the latest. This annual event can be the same in significance as the Grammy Awards but it centers on the song's music video, as seen on MTV and as it trends to the viewers.

Marking its 32nd year in awarding the most eye-catching and beautifully rendered music videos, Katy Pery will host the said event and the best music artists are in line for the night's performances. Variety already has a confirmed report that Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, the Weeknd, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Shawn Mendes will entertain the audiences as they wait in each of the awards for the night. With Pery and The Weekend among the nominees, the thrill of the announcements can be mellowed down by their live performances and great organization nonetheless by this year awards' executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic.

In a promo video by MTV, Billboard reports the unveiling of the awards night's performers who are also in anticipation for their fate to receive the Moon Person. Formerly called moonman, the coveted statue given to the winners of the awards night was the original symbol of MTV. This year, certain changes in the awards categories will start to take effect such as taking away the male and female awards by summing it up to only one, being the Artist of the Year award.

And just guess who will take home the first ever Best Fight Against the System award? Better watch it out on August 27 at 8 p.m. E.T as MTV VMA 2017 goes live at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
