Country Music Artists Billy Ray Cyrus And The Late Vern Gosdin Receives Hall Of Fame
Billy Ray Cyrus and the late Vern Gosdin will be honoured on separate occasions as they will be presented the Hall of Fame Awards. These artists had been contributing a lot in the music industry and are well deserved to receive such great acknowledgement. It may be late for Vern Gosdin to accept personally his award in October, but it's not too late to remember his top hit songs like "I Can Tell By the Way You Dance (You're Gonna Love Me Tonight)", "Set 'Em Up Joe", and "I'm Still Crazy."
A native of the Bluegrass State, Billy Ray Cyrus will be receiving the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame for 2018 based on a report from RollingStone and will be included among the best country music songwriters and singers. Together with Cyrus on this event will be David "Stringbean" Akeman, the late Grand Ole Opry, Dale Ann Bradley and Christian music artist Jason Crabb. "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" singer Jackie DeShannon and country artist Bobby Lewis are also being honoured.
The "Achy Breaky Heart" hit maker will take his pledge on May 11, 2018, in Somerset, Kentucky and will be joining the previous inductees like Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Tom T. Hall, the Judds, Patty Loveless, the Everly Brothers and the Osborne Brothers. Billy Ray Cyrus, who is popularly known as the father of Miley Cyrus has been going on tours and will be launching his next album "Set the Record Straight" on November this year. Meanwhile, another country music singer, Vern Gosdin will be added as one of Nashville's Songwriters Hall of Fame which is composed of 203 members, WZTV reports.
Popularly known as "The Voice", Vern Gosdin will be among the class of 2017 under the songwriter/artist category. Gosdin and three more artists, Jim McBride, Walt Aldridge and Tim Nichols will be awarded the highest tribute for a Nashville songwriter. On October 23, these four new members will be inducted to join the elite group at the Music City Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
