“Scorpion” Season 4 will show viewers the progression of the relationship of their favorite couples in the show. For one, a baby may be on the way for Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas). New couple Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) may hit a snag in their relationship.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that “Scorpion” Season 4 will pay tribute to Megan O’Brien (Camille Gauty), the late wife of Sylvester (Ari Stidham). The actor said that this will happen in the first two episodes. However, he stressed that his character’s wife who died last season will not appear in flashbacks although there will be a lot of her in the said episodes.
After tying the knot, the next step for Happy and Toby would naturally be to have babies. It was EP Nick Santora who hinted on this possibility happening in “Scorpion” Season 4 in his interview with TV Line. "Like all things, the answers can be found in elementary school: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes something in a baby carriage," he said.
Happy had said in one episode that she always wanted to wait outside the school for her kid and Toby would want the same. But, Santora said that viewers should not expect the newly wedded couple to have a baby early on “Scorpion” Season 4 as they are not firing all cylinders for a baby yet.
Fans will likely welcome the news that the show’s other fan favorite couple, Walter and Paige, will get their fair share of romantic screen time in “Scorpion” Season 4. This is after going through a lot and professing their feelings for each other last season. But even after this, Walter will still have a hard time expressing his feelings. This could lead to some problems for the new couple in the future.
Santora said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that “Scorpion” Season 4 would probably deal with "what it's like for a genius to be head over heels in love with a normal." He added that what Paige and Walter will go through could go in the way of being happy, having hiccups and bumps in the relationship, or even breaking up.
