The third episode synopsis released by ABC for Season 14 of "Grey's Anatomy" aroused several rumors among the fanbase. With the reveal that someone from Meridith Grey's past will be coming back, bets are being placed that Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang will return to the medical drama.

Titled "Go Big or Go Home," the familiar face will meet Ellen Pompeo's character as a patient in the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Other details on the synopsis include Harper Avery's arrival at the hospital, causing Chandra Wilson's Miranda Bailey to become uneasy. Amelia Shepherd, played by Caterina Scorsone, will also need to keep a secret within the episode, which is expected to become an amusing experience.

Playing as the best friend of Grey since the early days of the series, Sandra Oh stepped out of "Grey's Anatomy" at the end of the show's tenth season in 2013. And since her departure has left the possibility of a return, People's Choice is hoping that the character is the one hinted at the synopsis.

Aside from the question of who will be making a return to "Grey's Anatomy," another actor will be joining the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. According to E!, "Go Big or Go Home" will introduce Greg Germann to the series. Not much has been revealed about the character, aside from the fact that the "Ally McBeal" alum will take the role of Tom Koracik.

A play on the medical textbook "Gray's Anatomy" by Henry Gray, the show was created by Shonda Rhimes and premiered in 2005. The series follows the story of the doctors and interns in the fictional Grey Sloan Medical Hospital as they deal with personal and professional struggles. Aside from Pompeo , Wilson and Oh, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers and James Pickens, Jr. are part of the six original actors in the series, who was present from the first episode.

Season 14 of "Grey's Anatomy" will start with a two-hour premiere on September 28, 2017, on ABC.
