'Stranger Things' Season 2 Will End With Another Cliffhanger: Trailer Confirms Eleven is Alive
Fans of “Stranger Things” will only have to wait a little more before the second season of the Netflix hit series, which managed to snag 18 nominations in this year’s Emmy Awards, premieres. In attendance in the award ceremonies were the series co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer. They teased that the upcoming season will have another cliffhanger.
Ross confirmed that much like the first season finale, the cliffhanger of “Stranger Things” Season 2 will lay the groundwork for future seasons of the series. “It wraps up very nicely I think… people will feel satisfied. There’s a hint of what is to come.”
The Duffer brothers also assured viewers that the main tension of the plot of “Stranger Things,” which is that of the citizens of Hawking, Indiana, facing a greater and sinister threat to those who survived, will be resolved. Asked to rate the cliffhanger, Matt teased that it would be 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 reports Heroic Hollywood.
Last season’s finale of “Stranger Things” cliffhangers include Jim (David Harbour) leaving a crate of Eggo waffles in the forest. This led viewers to think that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is alive. Will (Noah Schnapp) coughed up a slug which made viewers suspect that he may be harboring eggs of the Demogorgon.
The trailer for “Stranger Things” Season 2 already confirmed that Eleven is alive reports TV Line. Spoilers indicate that things will not look good for Noah although no one knows yet why he coughed up a slug. It has already been confirmed, though, that the giant spider monster seen in the trailer will become the show’s ultimate villain.
The Duffer brothers also teased what fans can expect from Eleven in the upcoming “Stranger Things” season. Ross revealed that they decided to let Eleven experience an emotional roller coaster ride in the season. The series arrives on Netflix on October 27.
