Drake just donated $50,000 to a Miami women's homeless shelter. The singer also shared his blessings with a college student, as well as an entire high school earlier this week.

The "God's Plan" singer gave the Overtown homeless shelter his generous donation, which was confirmed by Allie Schwartz Grant, a spokeswoman for the nonprofit organization. Overtown homeless shelters can accommodate 500 people, and the place features a wellness center for kids, a yoga room, a meditation room, and a Zen garden.

Drake appears to be in good spirits ever since his new song, "God's Plan," became the most streamed song on both Spotify and Apple Music. The residents of Miami believe that his donations are, coincidentally, part of God's plan.

Drake Surprises Miami Shoppers

Before donating $50,000 to the homeless shelter, Drake also visited the Sabor Tropical Supermarket, where he told all of the shoppers that he will be paying for their groceries. It was reported that the 31-year-old rapper went to the supermarket at 4 p.m. with a megaphone in tow. He also posed for photos with his fans.

"No one knew he was coming at all, we just came to go groceries. Cameras were being set up so we were all wondering what was to happen," said Guille Deza, one of the shoppers who saw Drake.

Destiny Paris James Receives $50K Scholarship

Earlier this week, Drake also met up with Destiny Paris James and gifted her with a $50,000 scholarship. The 20-year-old college student said that she will be using the money to pay for her student loans, her tuition fee, and to treat her mom. James documented her meeting with Drake and said that the "Hotline Bling" singer was so nice.

"It was very shocking to even be that close to someone like Drake and for him to tell me, 'I've heard your story, I've read so many great things about you,'" said James.

Drake also donated $25,000 to Miami Senior High School after the singer used the school's premises to shoot part of his music video for "God's Plan." He also announced that all of the students at the school will be getting new uniforms sponsored by his clothing label.

As of late, Drake has not yet explained why he decided to donate a generous sum of money to Miami. On his social media account, the "Fake Love" crooner simply thanked the city for everything.
