On the heels of the recent release of "The Way He Looks At Me," Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have shared more music from the soundtrack, NPR reported.

The tracks "Sugar Storm" and "Just Like You" are piano-driven numbers, with the latter sounding like something that would play during the end credits. "Background Noise" builds up eerily multiple times throughout its three minutes, but it never boils over.

None contain the uneasy chaos of "The Way He Looks At Me," released over the weekend. The soundtrack — see track listing below — is due out digitally Sept. 30.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, the pair talked about the new project.

"The movie is about the facade of the good neighbor, the good Christian, the good wife," Reznor explained. "So the notion was to start with music that's attempting to give you a hug."

Gone Girl, out Oct. 3, stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, whose wife, Amy, has gone missing. The film, billed as a mystery-crime thriller, is directed by David Fincher, who knows the genre all too well with movies like Seven, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to his credit.

Gone Girl is based on a 2012 Gillian Flynn novel.

Reznor and Ross teamed up with Fincher on 2010's The Social Network and 2011's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
