For the handful of fans who were delighted to receive that free U2 album following the unveiling of Apple's iPhone 6 a couple of weeks ago, the Irish rock icons have just announced word that they'll be touring Songs of Innocence in 2015, according to NME.

During a recent interview with Absolute Radio, the band's frontman Bono stated, "We're going to be touring. We're going to start next year. We're going to try and play The O2 [in London] and places like that, more indoors than outdoors this time, but we'll see where it takes us."

He then added that the group is rather excited about the upcoming dates and believes the new songs "will play themselves."

The upcoming 2015 tour will be a big shift from the group's last one, which saw them performing in over 110 outdoor arena shows on the U2 360º Tour from 2009 to 2011 to promote their last studio album No Line On The Horizon. Perhaps that "indoor" arena focus for 2015 is rather understandable now.

Just this past Friday (Sept. 26), the band dropped the cover art for Songs of Innocence. Check it out below:

Earlier this month, the band famously gave away the album thinking the 500 million iTunes subscribers would be delighted to have a free record on their computers and iPhones. Unfortunately, however, it seems the opposite was true. So much so that Apple had to create a tool that actually abled users to remove U2's Songs of Innocence from their devices. The move was then hiliariously spoofed on TBS' CONAN.

So, Music Times readers, will you see the band on next year's tour?
