Late last week, Alton Nolen allegedly walked into Vaughn Foods in Moore, OK and in a fit of rage beheaded one woman and then continued on to stab two other people. He was eventually shot and wounded by Mark Vaughn, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and the former CEO of the family business. Apparently Nolen was furious about a situation that had occurred on-site (resulting in his firing) and took it out on the first person that he encountered while entering Vaughn Foods, 54-year old Colleen Hufford. She was pronounced dead on the scene after being beheaded by Nolen and another woman, Traci Johnson, was stabbed repeatedly until Vaughn intervened.

Nolen eventually regained consciousness in his hospital bed and has been interviewed by police who believe that he walked through those doors intended to create havoc until someone physically stopped him. Sources say that Nolen had recently converted to Islam and was trying to convert a bunch of his coworkers at the factory as well.

Joyce Nolen, Alton's mother released a video today issuing a statement about her sons' alleged actions.

"On behalf of my son, Alton Nolen, my heart is so heavy right now. I know my son. He was raised up in a loving home. I know what they are saying that he done. But I'm going to tell you this, that's not my son. My son was raised up believing in God. That's what he believed."

Can you even imagine being in this woman's shoes right now? She likely knew that after several days it was time to speak up and say something and from the sounds of this video the son that she knew bears little resemblance to the man that is accused of such a heinous crime.
