Weezer has well established that its going "Back to the Shack" on its new album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, and now Rivers Cuomo and co. are establishing themselves as astronauts in the track's new music video. Today (Sept. 29), eight days away from the EWBAITE release date, Weezer released the astronomical new visual for its lead single "Back to the Shack."

Weezer begins and ends the music video with an ode to the 1969 moon landing. Cuomo and co. touch down on the moon and then blast off into simple performance mode, singing along to their throwback, personal anthem while grounding themselves pretty tightly on the lunar surface.

That's really the entire premise behind "Back to the Shack..." No frills, no gimmicks, no YouTube video stars... just Weezer rocking out on the moon. There are little hints of a deeper storyline, Cuomo's "Sebastian" label on his shirt, for instance, calls back to the "Weezer Wednesdays" promo videos the band has been rolling out since before the Everything Will Be Alright in the End album announcement.

Nice to know they're back to the shack and on the moon.
