Childish Gambino is back with some new music. After delaying his planned EP with Chance the Rapper, the "3005" emcee released 11 new tracks today (Oct. 2) on the mixtape STN MTN. And he's set to have a new accompanying EP KAUAI drop on iTunes later in the day.
According to HotNewHipHop, Gambino dropped the Stone Mountain, Georgia, dedicated mixtape as a surprise, just moments after announcing his collaboration with Chance the Rapper has been placed on the backburner.
The new mixtape, which can be streamed below, is led by DJ Drama and features up-and-coming rappers Kari Faux and R O Y A L T Y.
The Gangsta Grillz mixtape, which Gambino described as a "dream" will lead into a woken up EP featuring Jaden Smith, KAUAI.
"It's a Gangsta Grillz mixtape that goes into an EP. The Gangsta Grillz mixtape is a dream, and the dream ends when I wake up in Kauai. And they go into each other; it's one complete project. You can download the mixtape and you can go buy the EP. The money from the EP goes to help keeping Kauai clean," Gambino said. "It's a cool project."
