Someone decided that adding pop star Katy Perry to ESPN's College Gameday show on Saturday morning would make for good television.

That person was very, very right.

Perry took the usually goofy broadcast and pulled it into the depths of madness with several bizarre statements and decisions.

It must be noted that the Prism singer had no real reason to be there; she did not graduate from Ole Miss (the show was broadcast in Oxford, Miss. ahead of Saturday afternoon's football game), and she has never given any indication that she enjoys football.

But there she was Saturday morning, dressed in a furry pink uniform and stealing the spotlight as the show's "Guest Picker."

Here is a brief rundown of her transgressions:

  •  She made an off-color joke about male anatomy, proceeded to produce a corn dog out of thin air and then threw said dog at the camera:

  •  She predicted Oklahoma would defeat TCU on the strength of "looks," and then demanded that Sooners quarterback Trevor Knight initiate a courtship:

  •  She ripped an elephant head off host Lee Corso and threw it to the ground, to the delight of the Ole Miss fans in attendance:

Combined with the general awkwardness of the whole thing, Perry's national television appearance was scintillating. Guest Picker every week? Guest Picker every week.
