No album released in 2014 has reached platinum status, but that could change after Taylor Swift drops her long-awaited 1989 Oct. 27. We have already gotten two early looks at the album — "Shake It Off" and "Out of the Woods" — but a third is apparently on its way tomorrow, Oct. 20.

Swift surprised fans with the following tweet Saturday:

The singer has been calling New York home for a while, and a supposedly "leaked" tracklist of the new album includes a tune called "Welcome to New York."

Swift refuted the leak's legitimacy on Tumblr before backtracking slightly.

There are a certain number of fans who could actually confirm the tracklist if they so chose. Swift opened up her doors to fans in recent weeks for Secret Sessions, in which she baked cookies and played 1989 in full.

As part of a marketing experiment, Swift's record label withheld "Out of the Woods" from the U.K., which obviously pissed everyone off. The singer felt inclined to publish a Tumblr post addressing the situation.

"I've never been one to hold my music back from any of you so I will be watching closely to see if this is ultimately a better experience for you, the fans," she wrote. "My good friend Ed Sheeran utilized the same strategy with 'One' in the UK and he seemed very happy with the feedback from his fans. But, ultimately, it's down to you. Let me know."

Our own Ryan Book pointed out that some people do not think Taylor actually posted that message.

Heidi Moore, editor of finance and economics for The Guardian's U.S. office, served up the idea that someone else was operating Swift's Tumblr, based on one linguistic distinction.

"First of all, no American would ever say 'it's down to you,'" she tweeted.
