The American Music Awards are pulling a Tonys and sticking with a host that brings in the viewers. Pitbull was the master of the ceremonies at one of the most watched renditions in the event's history during 2013 and ABC decided to give him the keys again according to Billboard

"Pitbull is a global superstar and multi-talented powerhouse, who delivered one of the most exciting shows in American Music Awards history when he hosted in 2013," said producer Larry Klein. "This year will be no different."

Last year's broadcast brought in 12.93 million viewers, the highest numbers since the 2011 ceremony, which oddly didn't have a host. Viewers perhaps tired of the no-host format during 2012 before coming back en masse for Pitbull's reign during 2013. We'll see if viewing numbers stay high this year, perhaps earning the rapper a third go. He remained as positive as ever.

"World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting the AMAs two years in a row," he said. "The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and Dick Clark productions for the amazing opportunity -- more than anything let's get ready to have fun."

Pitbull and Charlie XCX have been announced as the first performer's for this year's event. The AMA's will air on Sunday, November 23 beginning at 8 PM.

Iggy Azalea is the biggest pre-winner this year, earning six nominations. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams all managed five nominations and Lorde earned four noms. Taylor Swift was the biggest winner during last year's event, winning four trophies, including Artist of The Year.
