Things got turned up and escalated quickly during a recent iLoveMakonnen performance at SOB's in New York. The "Tuesday" rapper was punched by a fan from the crowd. Rae Sremmurd also hit the stage performing "No Flex Zone" and "No Type."

On Tuesday night (What a coincidence!), the Atlanta singer-rapper reached out to dap a fan only to be pulled down and punched. In a video of the performance, a man can be seen making his way to the front of the stage before tapping Makonnen to get his attention.

The man was escorted away and Makonnen continued on with his performance. No word on why the assault took place, according to XXL.

Rae Sremmurd also performed their hits "No Flex Zone" and "No Type." They were joined on stage by Mike WiLL Made It.

The duo performed "No Flex Zone" at this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards as well. Drake presented the group with a "Hood Grammy" for "Best Performance by A Group or Duo."

As of late, there have been several incidents of fans and artists engaging in physical altercations mid-performance. Just last week, Offset of the Migos punched a man during a performance. In a clip of the incident, Offset can be seen leaping off the stage and diving into the crowd landing a Superman punch. Prior to the punch, a man in the crowd appears to be yelling things at the rapper.

Rich Homie Quan infamously slapped a man after the "Walk Thru" rapper extended his arm to give daps in the crowd. Apparently, the man saw that as an opportunity to pull himself onstage or reach for his watch. Either way, RHQ wasn't having it.
