Taylor Swift has been everywhere promoting 1989, and while every track on the album is not a storyline ripped from her failed relationships, it seems she is still being asked about her thoughts on love every time she stops for an interview. While Swift has said repeatedly that she is — maybe wisely — taking a breather from looking for Mr. Right and focusing on the friends and family who are already worthy of her love, that does not mean she has not thought long and hard about the idea of romance. In fact, she thinks "boys only want love if it's torture."

Swift claims to have not even so much as gone out on a date in about 18 months, and she recently spoke about a few of her realizations regarding boys. She told The Sun in an exclusive interview:

"I was thinking about this — boys only want love if it's torture and a constant chase. Men want love if it's real, right, healthy and consistent. Any girl who's really thought a lot about romance and relationships and break-ups has determined that the male species has divided into two groups — and it's boys and men.

"You can have a 40-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man — it depends on their emotional DNA. I have so much love in my life without having a love affair in my life. I think it's important to find romance and magic in your life without there being a relationship that constitutes that."

It sounds like Swift might be catching onto something here.

Do you think these new realizations will help her make better choices when she does decide it is time to have a man in her life again? Or will she fall for the same kinds of players her past has already been littered with? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
