It didn't take too long for Zac Brown to hop onboard Dave Grohl's Sonic Highways series after the Foo Fighters frontman described his idea to travel across the country and record at famous studios.

"I was telling him about Southern Ground studios in Nashville and he was just super stoked to come in because of all the history," Brown, who owns Southern Ground, told Rolling Stone. "I told him we'd love to host him there."

Last night's (Oct.31) episode of Sonic Highways highlighted Grohl's time in Nashville, climaxing when Brown joins the band for "Congregation." The Foos came in with most of the song done, but left a little part open for Brown to showcase his skills. "I ended up hearing something a little more melodic than just [the intended] machine gun-type guitar part," he said.

Brown also said that he is a big fan of what Grohl is doing with his HBO series. "It keeps the history alive and shows the real music in these cities and how people have dedicated their lives to doing it," he said. "It's a big deal for the history of our studio to be told, but also for the future for people to come in and record and continue the legacy of making music."

Grohl and co. released two singles from their upcoming album previously. "Something from Nothing" was written in Chicago while "The Feast and the Famine" was shaped in Washington, D.C.

The album will be released on Nov. 10.
