Charli XCX's fourth single from her upcoming second album Sucker is pop gold.

"Gold Coins" blends machine gun guitars and noisy effects with the singer's sultry vocals for a superb result. XCX has been busy getting fans ready for the album, out Dec. 16, by previously releasing singles "Boom Clap," "London Queen" and "Break the Rules."

As SPIN notes, "Gold Coins" is a little slower than "Boom Clap" but it is just as infectious. The song is a carefree love letter to the good life, which XCX is looking to claim with her sophomore release.

"Gold coins everywhere / Dollars up in the air / It's a billionaire's love affair," she sings. "Gold coins out the window
/ Money falls like the rain falls / And I'mma spend it like I don't care."

XCX announced Sucker in August, releasing her lead single "Break the Rules" via SoundCloud.

"The song is inspired by a lot of the things I was listening to whilst in Sweden at the end of last year," she told BuzzFeed. "I spent about a month making a punk record and covering songs by Swedish punk bands like Snuffed By the Yakuza and stuff. This song was written when I came out of the other side of that punk phase and translated it into something more pop. Obviously, it's about not giving a f--k."

According to Complex, XCX worked with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij on the new album.

The singer rose to fame with last year's impressive True Romance. Most outlets praised the album, which contained tunes like "Nuclear Seasons," "Stay Away" and "You're the One."
