West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle got a major shout out earlier this month when he was referenced during an episode of Jeopardy! Following the namedrop, Nip said the show's longtime host, Alex Trebek, gets a hood pass. In another big moment, Hussie recently made the cover of Bleu magazine as well.

On the particular episode of the popular game show, there was a category called "Not a Successful Rap Musician." As noted by E!, each answer consisted of three rappers' names, two real and one fake. The contestants had to correctly pick out the fake moniker.

Some answers included names that were dead giveaways like "Ice Cube, Ice Berg, Ice T." Nipsey Hussle was mentioned in a category among Twista and Boogaloo B.

TMZ caught up with Nip following the show's airing and he seemed excited to be mentioned. "Yeah, I heard about that, man. It feels cool," he said. "I didn't see that s--t but someone texted me about it."

When asked if the show's host, Alex Trebek, would get a hood pass, the "Hold Up" rapper reluctantly agreed after having a good laugh. "He might just get a pass, yeah," Nipsey Hussle said.

Last month, he was featured on the October cover of Bleu magazine. In his cover story, Nip discussed his upbringing and rise to success.

"I come from an area where we are cannibals. We destroy ourselves and don't allow 'Nipsey Hussles' to happen," he explained. "My strength has always been talking to the streets and motivating people... telling real life stories about coming from nothing and making myself successful. You're not going to just be this prodigy that made it from [a] crazy situation and conquers the rap game in one stroke. As poetic and dope as that would be, that's not what's going to happen. You've got to build this thing."
