Country singers Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett have announced the joint Songs and Stories tour, which will run for four dates down the East Coast at the end of January. The tour kicks off Jan. 27 in Glenside, Pennsylvania, and finishes up Jan. 30 in North Charleston, South Carolina, with stops in Englewood, New Jersey, and Norfolk, Virginia, in between.

According to Gill's website, the tour will feature "intimate solo and duo performances, during which the artists will serve as their own accompanists."

You can check out Gill and Lovett's Songs and Stories tour dates here:

1/27: Glenside, PA @ Kesswick Theater
1/28: Englewood, NJ @ Bergen Performing Arts Center
1/29: Norfolk, VA @ Chrysler Hall
1/30: North Charleston, SC @ North Charleston Performing Arts Center

Gill's most recent album Bakersfield was released in July 2013 and was his 17th overall. The album was a collaboration with country singer Paul Franklin and features reinterpretations of songs by Merle Haggard and the late Buck Owens. Gill's most recent solo studio album was 2011's Guitar Slinger.

"There was a great spirit about the excitement of playing those great songs, especially today," Gill told The Tennessean about Bakersfield. "For the most part, no one gets to play this kind of music steeped in this history. Nothing about it felt like work. They played themselves. Most musicians will tell you that great songs will always play themselves. You don't have to struggle with a great song. Just get out of the way and let it be."

Lovett's most recent album Release Me, his 12th overall, was released back in 2012, while his most recent single "Girls from Texas," a collaboration with Pat Green, was released a few months ago.
