Saturday Night Live has some big things planned for the end of 2014. Not only will James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams be hosting the final three episodes of the year, but they will be joined by Nicki Minaj, Charli XCX and One Direction. Fans can expect holiday hijinks the entire month of December, especially the Dec. 20 episode with Adams and "Story of My Life" singers 1D.

The group performed on the show last December, joining host Paul Rudd (below), Billboard noted. Minaj made her last SNL appearance in 2011, when she guested on The Lonely Island's song "The Creep." Dec. 13 will mark XCX's first time on the show.

XCX's appearance will coincide perfectly with her Dec. 16 release of Sucker. She has been dominating the pop scene as of late, with singles like "Boom Clap" and "Break the Rules."

Minaj will give fans a taste of The Pink Print during the Dec. 6 show, nine days ahead of its release. I am sure you have heard plenty about songs like "Anaconda" and "Only."

One Direction is the only act in those last few episodes not promoting an album the same month it comes out. Their recent release, Four, came out a few days ago and has already taken to top spot on the iTunes albums chart.

"Yet, in the process, the band has shed the scrappiness and spunk that made its early music so endearing," the A.V. Club wrote. "That retreat from distinct personality — something the members possess in spades — is perhaps the most disappointing thing about Four."

So far this season, SNL has hosted an impressive array of talent. Irish singer-songwriter Hozier stopped by, Kendrick Lamar tore it up last week, and who could forget Prince's historic performance?
