Romeo Santos stops by Sesame Street Thursday for Hispanic Heritage week. In a preview clip for the episode, Santos sees Elmo on the basketball court moping around because he doesn't have anyone to play with.

Santos instructs Elmo on what to say and begins singing a charming Spanish-language serenade. "Quiero ser tu amigo. I want to be your friend," they all sing.

Again, Sesame Street manages to provide family friendly entertainment while introducing its young viewers to the sounds of modern music. Currently on its 44th season, the show has already aired appearance by Dave Matthews and Peter Dinklage and will feature guests including Josh Gad, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lauren Graham, Anna Kendrick, Charlize Theron, Usher and more in later episodes.

Santos' single "Propuesta Indecente" landed No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Tropical Songs charts this week. He has yet to announce a release date for the upcoming album Formula: Volume 2.
