It's like they were reading our minds: We're of the mind that even discussing Christmas shouldn't begin until Santa has rolled up in his sleigh at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and that Thanksgiving has gotten the raw deal as a holiday as retailers and your overzealous neighbors roll out their Christmas decorations earlier and earlier. What can help fix the problem? Thanksgiving carols of course! Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has teamed up with Meghan Trainor to deliver the goods.

The "All About That Bass" vocalist appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her new album, simply titled Thanksgiving Carols. Some of our favorite titles include "My Flight Got Canceled in Denver (I'll Be Sleeping at an Airport Quizno's Tonight)," "I'm Not Bringing Leftovers on the Plane, Mom" and "Uncle Dan Hates Obama (And Won't Shut Up About Benghazi)," which she ends by playfully asking "who the f--k is Benghazi?" The video (which you can watch below) features the rising pop star wearing a fashionably ugly sweater and dancing with Thanksgiving food staples.

If the commercial is to be believed, you can pick up the album at your local Walgreens, as it's oddly come out before the performer's own Title LP, which will come out in January.

NOT REAL UPDATE: We've just been informed that Thanksgiving Carols is not a real release but rather just a Kimmel skit. Which is disappointing, considering that Thanksgiving really has gotten the shaft in terms of musical attention. We can dream however.

This was the second time that Trainor has been featured in a Thanksgiving send-up: Last week her hot single was transformed into "All About That Baste" by popular internet comedians, the Holderness family.
