Ariana Grande first teased her 2014 Christmas single "Santa Tell Me" by posting some baby photos to her Twitter account. Now, as her My Everything single "Love Me Harder" hits the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 again this week, Grande is keeping the holiday spirit alive by releasing a new lyric video for "Santa Tell Me" featuring tons of baby Ariana photographs from the Christmas archives.
Against a light purple background, white cursive font spells out the lyrics to the Christmas single. The song tells the story of Grande wanting Santa to bring her love for Christmas - but she's not going to "give it all away" if the man is just going to leave her by the New Year.
"Santa tell me if you're really there / Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here next year," she sings in the chorus as she avoids mistletoe until she knows whether or not her holiday love is a "fling or true love."
All the while, images of a baby Grande unwrapping gifts, cuddling with her family members and performing in a variety of plays and pageants play across the screen. The effect is a little like a bad iMovie slide show, but it does help Arianators get a peek into the life of the oftentimes private pop star.
