Phaedra Parks may have filed for divorce from Apollo Nida, but that doesn't mean that the drama is over for The Real Housewives of Atlanta star. After resorting to fraudulent measures to try and support his family, Nida was finally busted for identity theft and other financial crimes. He turned himself in to authorities last September to begin serving an eight-year sentence and the reality show was filming during his last few weeks of freedom. Cameras caught Nida losing his mind because his wife was backing away from him rather than supporting him. Parks has caught some backlash from fans too for coming across a bit vindictive.

What's ironic is that Nida was furious with his wife for not going to his sentencing hearing and threw a child-sized tantrum, while she had put the needs of their two small children first. The media has painted Parks as an unsupportive wife rather than a single mother who now has to take care of her sons alone. A source close to Parks spoke with Hollywood Life about how she is moving on and is trying to erase Nida from her life.

"She's been leaning on some of her girlfriends outside of the cast for support and encouragement. She's been talking to a lot of single mothers and doing speaking engagements within various communities. She's very involved and keeping her mind occupied as she moves into this new and difficult challenge in her life. She doesn't care about how Apollo's doing in jail. She doesn't want any messages relayed from her and she just wants to forget he ever existed. After all she's been through with Apollo, she finds it absolutely perplexing that anyone would want to talk to him," said the source.

Can anyone really blame Parks from wanting to cut ties with this guy? He has said on camera that he despises his wife and has slammed her every time he had a chance. Isn't it acceptable for her to pull that plug in favor of stabilizing her family now? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
