It's a big day for Lana Del Rey. First, she announced that she'll be touring North America next year with Courtney Love, and now part of her new song "Big Eyes" has debuted online. Today (Dec. 1), Del Rey released a partial lyric video for her new soundtrack single, which will accompany the Tim Burton film Big Eyes upon it release.
"With your big eyes / And your big lies / Is it me, was I wrong to have trusted you? / Did I see what I wanted, what wasn't true? / Was I wrong to go on like a little fool? / It's amazing what women in love will do," Del Rey sings in the haunting track.
"Big Eyes" marks a bit of new territory for Del Rey. Known largely for stripped down, vintage-twinged ethereal anthems, this new track brings that sensibility but builds it with something far more haunting. Blasts of trumpet and other horns fill "Big Eyes," giving the song added depth and urgency.

"Big Eyes" is just one of two songs that Del Rey contributed to the Burton film soundtrack. She also penned a single called "I Can Fly," which will roll during the film's credits.
Big Eyes will be released on Christmas Day 2014. The film stars Amy Adams and tells the story of Margaret Keane, an artists whose signature portraits of babies with large eyes were falsely credited to her husband.
