A secret show with songwriter and pianist Sara Bareilles was announced today by the Artists Den. It's set for October 24th in Los Angeles and part of the Live From the Artists Den series, which runs on U.S. public television. The free shows are held in surprise locations all over the country with an invite-only audience. Lucky winners are drawn randomly from the mailing list.

Bareilles has been pursuing music since she left for Los Angeles at age 18, and splashed onto the scene with 2007's "Love Song" off Little Voice. She's since released Kaleidoscope Heart, which topped Billboard's chart at #1. After touring and serving as a judge on NBC's The Sing-Off competition show, Bareilles released The Blessed Unrest in July, produced by musician Ben Folds. Fellow Epic Records singer Avril Lavigne raved about the album on twitter this summer, priming it with early buzz. This fall Bareilles performed "Brave" live with Taylor Swift at The Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Sheryl Crow started off Season 7 of Live From the Artists Den, which will air in 2014 on PBS. Season 6 concluded with an electric show from Imagine Dragons. The finale wrapped a memorable season of Mumford & Sons, Soundgarden and other notable acts. Each live show is in an intimate setting at a venue of special significance. The performances are later aired in one-hour segments (you may even see yourself in the audience). The Artists Den announces the concert location to the winners of the free tickets. This last-minute surprise is what makes it, after all, a secret show.
