50 Cent's friendship with Floyd Mayweather goes back more than a decade. Things started going downhill in 2012 after their joint promotions company The Money Team tore them apart - Mayweather backed out of it and left Fiddy with a $2 million loss. They had appeared to have patched things up until this summer when 50 bullied Mayweather on Instagram by challenging him to read a page from Harry Potter without messing it up, and there have been a few back-and-forth comments since then. While Fiddy might not have the best relationship right now with Mayweather, he still reached out to him following the tragic murder-suicide that Mayweather was a reported witness to.

Mayweather had reportedly been on FaceTime with his rapper friend Earl Hayes right before Hayes killed his wife Stephanie Moseley and then turned the gun on himself.

After hearing the news, 50 Cent wrote some encouraging words to Mayweather on Instagram, calling him his "little brother."

"RIP Hayes, @floydmayweather you are my little brother. All can think about is what you said to me up stairs. Don't you ever do nothing to your self no matter what champ. We can fall out and fight or what ever, but I don't want to see you go out like that. #SMSAUDIO #POWER #FRIGO."

Upon receiving the message, Mayweather reposted Fiddy's kind words on his own account.

It's good to see that they are still true friends when it comes down to the big stuff. Hopefully they can see past the financial issues that have come between them and squash their beef for good.

As far as Mayweather's involvement in the tragic ongoing investigation, police are reportedly bringing him into question as a witness and he is reportedly having a difficult time dealing with what he witnessed. We'll update you on the story as more information becomes available.
