Last week Music Times confirmed that AC/DC would be playing its first dates in the UK since 2009, including a headlining spot at the prestigious Wembley Stadium, perhaps the biggest gig available in England. Recent changes to the band's lineup haven't disrupted its popularity in the region apparently. The band's Wembley concert sold out all of its nearly 73,000 tickets in less than an hour, according to NME.

Other shows will take place at Hampden Park in Glasgow on June 28 and at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on July 1. The band will wrap up the trio of UK shows at Wembley on July 4.

The tour will be in support of the band's new set Rock Or Bust, which debuted at no. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling more than 170,000 copies.

This tour will be dramatically new territory for the act however: rhythm guitarist Malcom Young was revealed earlier this year to be suffering from dementia, makingRock or Bust the first album in the group's history not to feature his playing. Stevie Young, the nephew of Malcom and lead guitarist Angus Young, took his place for recording and will continue on tour with the band as well. Drummer Phil Rudd has been cleared of charges that he was planning the murder of two individuals, however that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be rejoining the band, based on his continued erratic behavior.

The UK won't be the only place where AC/DC is stopping of course (it's just that selling out Wembley that quickly is an exciting development).
