The Coachella lineup is always one of the most sought after festival lineups in the world. There are always months of speculation and fan forum buzz about potential artists who may be joining the lineup. One or two leaks happen via artist websites, tour websites like Bandsintown or Songkick or even other promoters, which is what happened in this situation. A Dublin based promoter, ChoiceCuts, leaked that Flying Lotus would be on the Coachella 2015 lineup after FlyLo was forced to reschedule his gig there due to scheduling conflict that arose because of Coachella, as spotted by Dancing Astronaut.

In a now-deleted Facebook photo, (but the screenshot still exists), the promoter ChoiceCuts explained why the "Never Catch Me" producer would have to move his show in Dublin, saying that he had "unavoidable commitments in America". ChoiceCuts later clarified what that commitment would be in a comment to fans that Flying Lotus would be playing Coachella.

It is probably an honest mistake, as the promoter probably did not realize that the Coachella lineup hadn't been released yet and tried to cover it up by deleting the post, but the damage had been done.

Flying Lotus is a pretty logical choice for the festival with his album You're Dead hitting stores in October 2014 to critical acclaim and he performed in 2012.

The Coachella lineup is something of legend because it always chooses brand new acts every year that have to make a two-weekend commitment. There have been rumors that AC/DC, Jack White and Drake will be headlining the festival, which would make sense given their recent success, but nothing has been confirmed.

The festival just released its slow motion, effect heavy, 6-minute aftermovie over the weekend. The news now breaks that Flying Lotus will be joining the Indio based event in the spring. Between now and the full lineup release expect a few more leaks and potentially a bunch of fake posters.
