It looks like Apollo Nida's Christmas wasn't so merry after all. The reality star has been locked up in a Kentucky prison since September after pleading guilty to a string of charges last May. For a moment there it looked like The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Phaedra Parks was going to take her sons to visit Nida, their father, in jail for the holiday but at the last minute she changed her mind.
According to a report by Radar Online, the star decided that she didn't want the chaos of this past year to also infect her kids Christmas, so she decided to keep them home in Atlanta to celebrate. Parks is known to be completely devoted to her boys and she wasn't going to allow her soon-to-be-ex-husbands' crimes ruin their holiday. No doubt Nida is furious. In the last episodes of RHOA that he had filmed before being locked up he was truly acting like the victim because his wife was no longer supporting him through the criminal mess that he had created.
Nida has tried to play it like Parks is keeping the kids from him but sources close to her say that is simply not the case. They take all of their father's phone calls and send him drawings and letters often. Really, there's not a whole lot more that they can do in terms of interacting with him since he'll be sitting in a cell for about 8 years.
