Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan has shared a new track titled "Flex," which you can check out below. The track was produced by Nitti Beatz and DJ Spinz and is backed by a pretty excellent electro beat, like a darker and more atmospheric version of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy." Quan's performance is not bad either, often veering into — Auto-Tuned, of course — singing as much as straight-up rapping.

It is not clear if "Flex" will end up on any of Quan's upcoming releases, though it is more likely that this is simply a standalone track. According to Hot New Hip-Hop, his next release will be a — so far untitled — five-track EP, which is set to drop at some point this month.

"First time doing this," Quan told Hot New Hip-Hop, "but it's a new sound, a new year, a new Quan."

In that same interview, which was given in mid-December, Quan revealed that he is about "30 percent" through the production of his long-awaited debut album, which also has yet to be given a title or an exact release date.

"It will be dropping in the second quarter of 2015," he promised.

But you should not really be taking his word for it, as he also promised in that same interview that a new Rich Gang mixtape was set to drop on Christmas Eve, which did not happen.

Rich Homie Quan's most recent, full-length release was the debut Rich Gang mixtape Rich Gang: Tha Tour, Pt. 1 with Young Thug and Birdman, which was released in late September. Whenever the second Rich Gang tape ultimately ends up dropping, Quan promises that it will feature "A lot of the same producers from the first one, basically just picking it up where we left off at."
