Following their engagement last month, Benji Madden (Good Charlotte, The Madden Brothers) and actress Cameron Diaz have officially tied the knot. They wed last night (Jan. 5) at Diaz's Beverly Hills home.
The couple have been dating since May and got engaged just before Christmas following a whirlwind romance.
According to PEOPLE, the couple hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner over the weekend at their home for a group of family and friends. Diaz also reportedly celebrated her bachelorette party with girlfriends over the weekend in Los Angeles.
As the event was being set up and guests began arriving, security guards told neighbors that Diaz was hosting a pre-Golden Globes party to throw them off.
The wedding ceremony was held in front of more than 90 guests including Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samantha Ronson, and Robin Antin. Joel Madden and Nicole Richie's son, Sparrow, served as the ring bearer. Diaz's bridesmaids included Richie, Drew Barrymore, her sister Chimene, and assistant Jesse Lutz, Us Weekly reports.
An outdoor reception followed the ceremony, taking place under a massive tent.
"We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends," the couple told PEOPLE.
A source told PEOPLE, "It was a big wedding, but they still managed to make it feel personal. Only their families and very special friends attended. It all felt very down-to-earth and sweet. Guests arrived smiling and almost seemed giddy. Everyone was excited to be part of the wedding."
As Us Weekly points out, Diaz, 42, has previously dated Justin Timberlake, Matt Dillon, Jared Leto, and Alex Rodriguez while Madden, 35, was previously engaged to Sophie Monk and had been romantically linked to Paris Hilton, Holly Madison, and Eliza Doolittle.
