Mike Huckabee's dream of being the U.S. president apparently ended in 2008, when he failed to make it out of the Republican primaries. But the 59-year-old former Arkansas governor is reportedly making another run at office in 2016. Chances are, he won't be getting a ringing endorsement from Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

An excerpt from Huckabee's forthcoming memoir was recently released to the press, and it includes some harsh words for hip-hop's First Couple.

"Beyonce is incredibly talented - gifted, in fact," Huckabee writes (via Jezebel). "She has an exceptional set of pipes and can actually sing. She is a terrific dancer - without the explicit moves best left for the privacy of her bedroom. Jay-Z is a very shrewd businessman, but I wonder: Does it occur to him that he is arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object?"

We're going to need to wait for the U-Haul to show up before we unpack all of the racist, sexist and otherwise small-minded information in that last sentence, so let's move on.

This is no way to swing voters on the fence about Huckabee and his weird-ass statements. As Raw Story points out, he also managed to flip-flop on marriage equality in the same excerpt.

"Marriage as an institution is not so much threatened by same-sex couples as it is by heterosexuals' increasing indifference to it," he states in one chapter.

Later, he expressed support for anti-gay marriage laws by writing "we simply don't have enough reliable accumulated data" to discern whether they should be repealed or not.

If nothing else, the Huckster should make things interesting come primary season.
