R. Kelly has been all over the news in the last week, both for his forthcoming album Black Panties and the racy content/album art on the record. Nothing has gone more viral than the songs he improvised for Rolling Stone yesterday, taking given phrases including "sex dolphin" and "Italian hero sandwich" and turning them into bedroom jams. His great voice, coupled with the absurd content, has the potential for a Ylvis-type hit, but unfortunately there were backing beats to go with the song. Until now.

Canadian producer DJ Arlo must have worked through the night to quickly produce remixes of three of Kelly's Rolling Stone improv projects, including "Sex Dolphin," "Italian Hero" and "Hockey Game." And they don't sound bad.

The producer repeated Kelly's lyrics for all of the songs to fill space, but crafted unique beats for each. Arlo sampled in party-style catcalls and handclaps to liven up "Hero Sandwich" (a track about a lover and her friend sandwiching the vocalist, presumably sexually), and thumping bass to "Hockey Game" (a less sensible track).

The highlight, as with the original recording session, has to be the amazingly-titled "Sex Dolphin." The original features Kelly turning the high-pitched calls of a dolphin into metaphor for...you know...sex noises. The remix of course samples actual dolphin calls into the song, giving it a humorous theme oddly similar to the South Park "gay fish" spoof of Kanye West. Add the guitar solo at the end, and this track is ready for the market. All R. Kelly and DJ Arlo have to do is work out a contract.
