What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World, indeed. And now The Decemberists's new record is finally here. Ahead of the "Make You Better" band's release date for its seventh studio album, today (Jan. 13), What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World is available to stream in full via iTunes Radio. And that's not the only Decemberists news fans get today - there's also a new lyric video for "A Beginning Song."

What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World is due for release on Jan. 20, but fans anxious for the album's release can now hear the album in full now.

Inspired heavily be the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newton, Massachusetts, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World strips away some of the folksy sounds of The Decemberists's last effort The King is Dead and the band returns to its musical roots, recalling music from its first three albums. Simultaneously, though, the band also sounds more mature than ever before, with Colin Meloy moving away from fairytale songwriting and focusing more on emotions once again.

In addition to a full album stream, The Decemberists also rolled out a lyric video for "A Beginning Song," which closes out the What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World.

The lyric video plays it simple, with the band performing "A Beginning Song" in studio, as the lyrics flash by on screen in the same font as seen on the What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World album cover.
