Though Los Angeles grunge band, L7, suggested last month that a reunion tour was in the works, today they've officially announced their reunion with a short filmed titled A Night at the Morgue, which you can check out below. The video stars musician/actor Rob Zabrecky as a mortician sifting through the contents of a mysterious box, eventually revealing that L7 has reunited and will be embarking on a tour this year, which is apparently big enough news to wake the dead.

L7 originally formed in 1985 and released six albums before going on hiatus in 2001. Last month, they posted a message through their Facebook page, saying that they would embark on a reunion tour if they received enough support from their fans. As of right now, the only reunion dates to have been announced are appearances at the Azkena Rock Festival in Spain on June 19 and Hell Fest in France on June 20, though according to the band's website, more tour dates will be announced tomorrow, Jan. 28.

In addition to this reunion announcement, the band has also launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a documentary titled L7: Pretend We're Dead, which chronicles the band's history and "takes us on an all-access journey into the 1990's grunge movement that took the world by storm, and the band that helped define it as the genre of a generation." The documentary has been in the works since 2013 and is nearly finished, but needs $97,000 dollars "to complete the final production process including some key interviews, the licensing of broadcast footage, final editorial, sound mix, sound design and artwork."
