Today, Of Monsters and Men released a new EP Live From Vatnagarðar exclusively on iTunes. The Icelandic quintet that made quite the impression with the full-length album My Head Is An Animal is now sharing live recordings of 7 songs played in Iceland's Syrland studio.

This is a special treat for fans in anticipation for the band's upcoming second album via Republic Records. A press release for the exclusive collection on iTunes describes the essence of the project: "Their live EP for iTunes conveys the magic of their gigs as they artfully weave together enchanting instrumentation, undeniable hooks, and wistful lyricism seamlessly, while giving fans alternate takes on favorites such as their platinum-selling hit 'Little Talks' and 'King & Lionheart'"

Included with the six of their own songs, the members threw in a cover of Yeah Yeah Yeahs track "Skeletons." Getting to hear these live versions of some of the more popular songs is a generous offering for anyone who has not been able to see Of Monsters and Men live before. Although, they haven't had any trouble filling up venues since their debut release by selling out headlining shows and making appearances at the big-name festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival and Sasquatch Music Festival.

In addition to receiving much acclaim on the charts and with record sales, "Dirty Paws" is the key song on the soundtrack for the upcoming movie starring Ben Stiller and Kristin Wiig, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. That soundtrack will be out on Dec. 17.
