If you want a statuette or a costume that looks like Katy Perry's now infamous left shark costume from the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, you're going to have to go directly through the "By the Grace of God" singer herself. After a fan created imagery in the design of Perry's swimmingly charismatic character, the pop superstar has issued a cease-and-desist letter.

Perry has blocked the sale of unofficial left shark statues, CNN reports. Fernando Sosa, who sells politically-themed 3D models, began selling the left shark on his website earlier this week. Just two days after the figurines - which retailed at $24.99 - hit the web, Perry's lawyers passed along an expected cease-and-desist order.

"Our client [Perry] recently has learned that you have been involved in the manufacture, sale, marketing and distribution of merchandise featuring a shark sculpture which embodies and uses the [Super Bowl halftime show], and that you have displayed this product on your website, in connection with such sale and distribution," the message read.

Because Perry has not authorized the sale of the left shark statuettes, the pop star claimed he was infringing on her rights and demanded the sharks be taken out of stock.

As for Sosa, he's decided to give in to Perry, declaring that she's more difficult to work with than some of the world's biggest dictators. Well, it looks like dictators and world leaders like Putin and Kim Jong Un or Chris Christie are much easier to deal with," he said. "So I probably will go back to doing pieces about them and other world leaders. All this lawyer crap is very stressful."
