The Replacements reunion marches on. The legendary alternative band just announced fresh tour dates for this spring, marking their first non-festival trek in 24 years, Consequence of Sound notes. Paul Westerberg and Co. will kick things off in Seattle on April 9, making stops in Los Angeles, Denver and Detroit before wrapping the mini jaunt a month later in Philadelphia.

The Mats will head overseas following the final Back By Unpopular Demand U.S. date to play the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona before back-to-back gigs in London. Tickets for the first five shows (Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, L.A., Denver) are currently on sale over at the group's website. No information has been given regarding when tickets for the remaining eight gigs will be available.

Although it never actually died down, Replacements fever boiled over in 2012 when Westerberg and Tommy Stinson got together to record music for an EP to help out former bandmate Slim Dunlap. They played a few festival dates in 2013 before adding more appearances to their schedule last year. They closed out 2014 with a rendition of "Alex Chilton" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and a show at Forest Hills Stadium in September.

In true Mats fashion, the band dropped a jazzy, 24-minute instrumental track, "Poke Me in My Cage" in December. Westerberg admitted to having new tunes written, adding that a new album with the band was a possibility.
