England really loves to buy Leona Lewis' music. The "Bleeding Love" singer has just smashed through a British chart record by becoming the first female British solo artist to have eight top 5 singles in the UK. So, what was the song that finally helped her into music history? Her jangly, upbeat Christmas tune "One More Sleep."

According to Official Charts UK, Lewis achieved the goal when "One More Sleep" rose to No. 3 this week, just behind Lily Allen's stunning cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" and Avicii's "Hey Brother."

Other songs of Lewis' that have reached the top five are: her X Factor winner's single "A Moment Like This," "Bleeding Love," "Better In Time/Footprints in the Sand," "Forgive Me," "Run," "Happy" and her Avicii collaboration "Collide."

With "One More Sleep," that is eight top fives in total. Her new song is the lead single from her sparkly, throwback Christmas album Christmas, With Love, which was released at the end of November.

Lewis ended up beating out Olivia Newton John for the top British female solo seller title. John has had seven top fives in her home country.

Several British solo females have received six top five singles. Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Emeli Sandé, Cheryl Cole, Louise, Billie Piper, Cilla Black, Shirley Bassey and Petula Clark all hold that honor.

Meanwhile, Lewis has yet to receive that level of success in the US. Her lone top five single on the Billboard Hot 100 is "Bleeding Love," though that song did go all the way to No. 1.
