Kanye West has been all over the place this past week. He debuted his Adidas collaboration at NYFW, was seated front and center for several other shows and then performed on SNL 40. He has been doing lots of press to discuss his latest designs and new music, and he has also dished on his life with Kim Kardashian. West is finally admitting that marrying his now-wife cost him some friends in the beginning, according to Hollywood Life.

West recently talked to Style about how the high-fashion world treated him once they learned that he was dating Kardashian, a woman famous because her then-boyfriend leaked a sex tape and her mother had the business skills to help her capitalize on it.

"As soon as we started dating, fashion people were really opposed to the idea of reality stars. And all the relationships the somewhat friends that I had somewhat built up, completely turned their backs on her and me. They already had their back to her, and now they've turned it to me. The so-called traction that I was getting in the high-fashion world was completely thrown out the window," explained West.

He then goes on to discuss how he and Kardashian are truly a team and that they have helped to better each other. He also refers to Kris Jenner as "mom" and confesses that his time in the mirror has been seriously cut because he is too busy looking at his daughter now. This is maybe the first interview in a long time where West sounds like a normal guy who adores his wife and child.

Readers: Do you think he really has learned to simplify things like he claims and that he has traded in some of that legendary self-absorption in order to focus on the people in his life who matter the most, or was West just trying to balance out some of the recent negative press by giving a more gracious interview?
