Ian Watkins, the former lead singer of the rock band Lostprophets has been sentenced to 29 years in prison and six years of strict probation for 13 counts of serious child sex offenses.

According to NME, the 36-year-old "Last Train Home" singer must serve at least two-thirds of his sentence in prison before being considered for release.

Meanwhile the two unnamed mothers, who offered their children to Watkins for his sexual pleasure, have been sentenced to 14 and 17 years in prison.

British Justice Royce was the one to sentence the three defendants, and Watkins is reported to have been visibly shaking during the trial.

In his statements, Royce said that Watkins posed a "significant risk" to women and children and that he used his celebrity in order to act on his sickening kinks. He also said the British court had seen a great number of things over the years but that this extreme case "plumbed new depths of depravity" and "breaks new ground."

It was also noted that Watkins showed no remorse for his actions, telling a friend from a prison phone call that "It was megalols. I don't know what everyone is getting so freaked out about." Later, he downgraded the situation simply to "lols."

Last month, Watkins shocked the world when he pleaded guilty to 13 counts of serious child sex offenses, including the attempted rape of a baby, making images of child sexual abuse and encouraging women to abuse children via a webcam. Watkins largely pleaded guilty to save a jury from having to see graphic video and photo evidence of his crimes. Before he entered his plea at the last minute, British courts had already prepared for those in the jury to receive counseling.

As for Lostprophets, the band split in October after 15 years together.
